Updating AR books and tests
If any parent has some time available and would like to help update and label our AR books please contact me. I have recently purchased several new tests and am wanting to update our books and make sure everything is labeled correctly. It would basically involve pulling books from the shelves, labeling them and returning them to the shelves. Some preliminary work will need to be done so that you would have a list to work off of, but I will get that ready for you. Thanks!!

Book Fair Update!!!
Final results for the book fair are here!! We did a great job this year, surpassing last year's sales!!! Our total book fair sales this year was $4556.86. The profit that the library receives is a total of $1778.43 and is taken as a combination of books, scholastic products and cash to purchase AR tests. I have already purchased several new books for the library as well as some new AR tests. Over the next few months I will be purchasing more library materials with the money and trying to update AR tests. I am willing to take any suggestions for new AR tests, although there is a certain criteria that I follow.
They are:
1) I have to order the tests in groups of 20 - so I will keep a list of titles and when I have 20 I will place the order.
2) I prefer to have a copy of the book in the library so that all students will have access to it.
3) I try to make sure that the content of the test and book are both appropriate for our school library.
4) I try to balance the amount of lower level tests with upper grade tests so that there is always a variety of books for students to choose from.
Thanks again for such a successful book fair! Look for information about next year's book fair. Don't forget that we can always use volunteers. The more volunteers we have the more successful our fair will be! This was proven with this year's fair. I had a great group of volunteers who helped me every step of the way! Hats off to you all!!!
